Curbside Trash Pickup: What to Know
- Customers are allowed eight to 10 bags (30 gallons) per week at our regular rate, and one to three bags (30 gallons) or six bags (13 gallons) for the senior rate.
- All garbage needs to be bagged. This prevents trash from accumulating at the bottom of your container and helps prevent damage to your cans. The weight limit on trash bags is 40 pounds. No barrels, drums, or alternative containers will be accepted.
- Contractor bags are not accepted and will be left.
- Garbage must be out by 6:00 a.m. If trash is not out, it will be picked up on the next scheduled day.
- It is illegal to allow another person to put trash with yours if they are not one of our paying customers. This is “Theft of Service” and will result in additional charges to your account and possible termination of your service.
Tips For Getting Your Curbside Pickup Done Right
- Drilling drain holes in the bottom of your container will prevent water from filling your bin and freezing solidly inside. This will help you save hours of labor and hassle, making your container easier to move.
- Please have your trash at the curb by 6:00 a.m., especially during the winter months. During inclement weather, routes may be subject to change. Having your trash out by 6:00 a.m. allows our teams to complete pickups more efficiently and safely get off the roads.
- If you only have bags, please refrain from using white ones. Our team cannot see them, and we don’t want to miss anything. We do offer 96-gallon waste carts for purchase, labeled with our name.
- All cancellations must be requested by phone.
The following items are not allowed for curbside pickup or in the dumpsters. If you have them in your container, please remove them so we can collect and dump the contents at your convenience:
- Shingles
- Propane or gas tanks
- Items with Freon coils, such as refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, and dehumidifiers
- Liquid waste, such as paint, oil, pesticides, or chemicals
- Yard waste, such as leaves, grass clippings, and branches
- Tires and batteries
- Metal of any kind
- Dirt, concrete, cement, blocks, and bricks
